Returnspan

Return & supplier credit tracking

A return is not finished until the credit is accounted for.

Keep each supplier return, its next follow-up, and its credit in one local workspace. Record what happened, match the credit by hand, and close the case when it reconciles.

Your email app opens with three short questions. No private records or account access needed.

01 / Follow the record

Four steps.
One clear trail.

A return, a supplier credit, and a match are different records. Returnspan keeps the next action visible without treating a partial match as a finished case.

Step 01 / Return

Record what left.

A fictional $240 supplier return starts the record. The expected credit is recorded; no supplier credit has been entered yet.

A return record is not evidence that the supplier has issued a credit.

What happens next

The owner records a supplier credit when it arrives.

02 / A deliberately small pilot

Local work.
Explicit decisions.

The current build is scoped to one business, one owner, one Mac, and USD. The pilot is a way to check fit against an agreed workflow—not a promise of a hosted or team product.

On your Mac
On-demand local operation with a local password identity. Setup requires an available Python 3.12+ runtime and a checked macOS/browser combination; the runtime is not bundled.
Deliberate CSV intake
Explicit column mapping and a preview for new records: up to 100 rows and 512 KiB per batch. The intake applies together, rather than silently accepting part of a file.
Manual matching & history
You choose each credit-to-return match and confirm closure. Corrections and reopening remain in the history. The pilot holds up to 500 cases total, including closed cases.
Backup & restore
Complete backup and restore to a new destination have been checked for this build. Your Mac still needs its own pilot verification.

Before a buyer uses it

A pilot has to work
on your Mac, too.

Customer installation and acceptance are still required. We agree on the workflow, license, price, and support before starting.

  1. Check the selected Mac and runtime, attended installation, and local sign-in.

  2. Walk through intake, a return, partial and full credit matching, and explicit closure against the agreed process.

  3. Verify save and reopen, reconciliation, a complete backup, and restore to a new destination.

03 / Know the limits

Before we talk.

Does it connect to suppliers or accounting software?

There are no current live supplier or accounting connectors. The pilot uses explicit CSV intake and manual credit matching. Any connector needs its own implementation and acceptance.

Can my team use it in the cloud?

Not in this pilot. The current scope is one business, one owner, and one Mac—not multi-user access, a cloud service, or a hosted rollout.

Does it recover credits automatically?

No. Returnspan records returns and credits you enter and matches you choose. It does not obtain supplier credits or guarantee credit recovery.

What are the storage limits?

The pilot holds 500 cases, 1,000 credit records, 3,000 historical matches, and 10,000 audit events / committed operations. Closed cases and reversed matches still count; these are total limits, not monthly allowances. We check your volume and retention needs before agreeing a pilot.

What would a pilot cost?

The working proposal is $750 once for a scoped installed pilot, one agreed mapping of up to 100 reviewed open cases, a 60-minute walkthrough, and up to two hours of launch help over 30 days after acceptance. Optional care is a separate $99/month agreement, starting no earlier than day 31 after acceptance; it is not automatically added. These are provisional terms, not a live checkout. Scope, support, acceptance, and remedies must be agreed before payment.

A small, practical next step

Does this fit your
return process?

Tell me which Mac you use, how you track returns today, and what you want a pilot to help you check.

A general description is enough. Please don’t send passwords, private records, or customer files.
